HaPpY bIrThDaY sInGaPoRe!!!
I just came back from the National Stadium and oh boy…the crowd was …I don’t know the word to describe it. Anyway, after a long slow walk to the stadium (about 1 km) and a long wait to get into the stadium, we were finally seated at around 5 pm. The stadium was like the ‘red sea’ with most of the spectators wearing red.
For those who have seen National Day Parade, I’m sure you know about the performances. There were the ‘parachuters’, the planes, the helicopters flying the national flag, the songs, and performances by students, March Past and the parade itself. The celebration ended with spectacular fireworks….really, really spectacular, wonderful and fantastic fireworks show.
After the celebration, coming out from the stadium was…well…not so terrible but terrible . Imagine nearly 60 000 people trying to come out of the stadium and walking towards the same direction. It took us over an hour to walk the 1 km to the train station and me, my friend and her family tried our very best not to lose each other in the crowd.
My friend said that the performances were a few compared to the previous year. When I reached home my mum said the same and I was so busy taking photos to notice it hehe.
Once again HaPpY bIrThDaY sInGaPoRe!!!
